If you're having trouble logging in to your CENTR account, try these solutions in order. Most login issues resolve quickly with these steps.

Common Login Problems and Solutions

Wrong Password

If you're getting an "invalid credentials" error or your password isn't working:

  1. Double-check your password for typos (watch for caps lock)
  2. Use the "Forgot Password" option to reset your password
  3. On the app login screen, tap "Forgot Password" or visit centr.com/login and click "Forgot Password"

Wrong Email Address

Make sure you're using the correct email address:

  • Check for typos: Common mistakes include .com vs .net or gmail vs hotmail
  • Multiple emails: If you have several email addresses, try each one
  • Apple Sign-In users: If you signed up with "Sign in with Apple" and enabled "Hide My Email," you'll need to use your Apple Private Relay email (format: [email protected]) instead of your regular email

Using Social Login Instead

If you originally signed up with Apple or Google:

  1. Don't use the email/password fields
  2. Tap the "Sign in with Apple" or "Continue with Google" button instead
  3. Use the same login method you used during signup
  4. No password needed if you always use social login

Platform-Specific Login Steps

For iOS App

  1. Open the CENTR app on your iPhone or iPad
  2. On the login screen, enter your email and password OR tap "Sign in with Apple"/"Continue with Google"
  3. If using email/password and it's not working, tap "Forgot Password"
  4. If the app is stuck or frozen, delete and reinstall from the App Store

For Android App

  1. Open the CENTR app on your Android device
  2. On the login screen, enter your email and password OR tap "Continue with Google"
  3. If using email/password and it's not working, tap "Forgot Password"
  4. If experiencing repeated logouts, this is a known bug in v8.0 - see workarounds below

For Web (centr.com)

  1. Go to centr.com/login in your web browser
  2. Enter your email and password OR click "Sign in with Apple"/"Sign in with Google"
  3. If your password isn't working, click "Forgot Password"
  4. Try a different browser if issues persist (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge)

Error Messages and What They Mean

  • "Invalid credentials" or "Login failed": Wrong password or email - try password reset
  • "Account not found": No account with that email exists - check for typos or try your Apple relay email if you used Apple Sign-In
  • "Too many failed attempts": Account temporarily locked for security - wait 10-15 minutes then try again
  • "Sorry, we dropped a dumbbell": Temporary system error - wait 15-30 minutes and try again

Known Issues and Workarounds

Android v8.0 Logout Loop (Known Bug)

If you're on Android and the app keeps logging you out repeatedly:

  • This is a confirmed bug affecting Android app version 8.0
  • A fix is coming in the next Android app update
  • Temporary workarounds: Use centr.com website instead of the app, or keep the app open in background (don't fully close it)

App Stuck on Loading Screen

If the app stays on the CENTR logo and won't open:

  1. Contact support at [email protected] - they can perform a login configuration reset
  2. After support resets your configuration, delete the app completely
  3. Reinstall the latest version from App Store or Google Play
  4. Open the app and sign in with your email and original password

Login Issues After October 2025 Update

If you're having trouble logging in after the v8.0 or v8.1 update:

  1. Update to the latest app version (check App Store or Google Play)
  2. Try using "Sign in with Google" or "Sign in with Apple" as alternative login methods
  3. Use the "Forgot Password" option within the app (not the website)
  4. If a new account was accidentally created during the update, contact support to merge your accounts

Advanced Troubleshooting

Clear Cache and Reinstall (Mobile)

  1. Delete the app: Long-press the CENTR app icon and delete/uninstall
  2. Restart your device: Power off completely, wait 10 seconds, power back on
  3. Reinstall: Download fresh from App Store or Google Play
  4. Log in: Use your credentials or social login
  5. Note: Your workout history and account data are saved on our servers - reinstalling won't delete your data

Clear Browser Cache (Web)

If you're having trouble logging in on centr.com:

  • Chrome/Edge: Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data → Remove All
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Clear Data
  • After clearing cache, try logging in again

Try a Different Platform

Test if the issue is platform-specific:

  1. If the app isn't working, try logging in at centr.com
  2. If the web isn't working, try the app
  3. If it works on one but not the other, the issue is platform-specific
  4. If it doesn't work on either, it may be an account issue - contact support
