Where to Find Notification Settings
You can manage all your CENTR notification preferences from your profile settings in the app or on the web.
In the App (iOS or Android)
- Open the CENTR app
- Tap Profile in the bottom navigation bar
- Tap Preferences
- Look for Notifications or notification-related toggles
- Adjust your preferences for each notification type
- Changes save automatically
On Web (centr.com)
- Log in to centr.com
- Click your Profile icon (top right)
- Select Preferences from the menu
- Find notification settings
- Toggle notifications on or off
- Save your changes
Types of Notifications
Workout Notifications
- Daily workout reminders: Get notified when your daily workout is ready
- Program reminders: Reminders for scheduled program workouts
- Workout completion: Confirmations when you complete a workout
Program Notifications
- Program starts: Notification when you join a new program
- Program milestones: Updates on program progress
- New program recommendations: Suggestions for programs that match your goals
Meal and Recipe Notifications
- Weekly meal plan: Notification when your new weekly meal plan is ready
- Shopping list reminders: Reminders to check your shopping list

Platform-Specific Settings
iOS (iPhone/iPad) Users
CENTR notifications must also be enabled at the device level:
To enable push notifications for CENTR:
- Open iPhone Settings app
- Scroll down and tap CENTR
- Tap Notifications
- Toggle Allow Notifications ON
- Choose your notification style (Banners, Alerts, or None on Lock Screen)
- Enable Sounds and Badges if desired
If you're not receiving CENTR notifications:
- Check both CENTR app Preferences AND iPhone Settings
- Make sure notifications are enabled in both places
- Check that Do Not Disturb is not blocking notifications
- Verify Focus modes aren't silencing CENTR
Android Users
CENTR notifications must be enabled at the device level:
To enable push notifications for CENTR:

If you're not receiving CENTR notifications:
- Check both CENTR app Preferences AND Android Settings

- Some Android manufacturers (Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei) have aggressive battery savers - add CENTR to exceptions
Web/Email Notifications
When using centr.com, you'll receive notifications via email rather than push notifications. Make sure:
- Your email address is up to date in Account Settings
- CENTR emails aren't going to spam (check spam folder and whitelist [email protected] and [email protected])
- You haven't unsubscribed from CENTR emails
Managing Specific Notification Types
To Stop Workout Reminders Only
- Go to Profile → Preferences
- Find Workout Reminders or similar setting
- Toggle OFF
- Keep other notifications enabled if desired
To Stop All Notifications Temporarily
iOS: Use Focus modes or Do Not Disturb
Android: Use Do Not Disturb mode
In CENTR app: Go to Preferences and toggle all notification types OFF (you can re-enable later)
To Unsubscribe from Marketing Emails
- Click "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of any CENTR marketing email
- This stops promotional emails but keeps important account and workout notifications
- Or go to Profile → Preferences in app and adjust email preferences
Notification Timing
When Do Notifications Arrive?
- Daily workouts: Usually in the morning (based on your time zone)
- Program reminders: Based on your program schedule
- Meal plans: Typically at the start of each week
- Subscription reminders: A few days before renewal
Can I Choose Notification Times?
Custom notification timing may be available in Preferences. Look for:
- Workout reminder time settings
- Quiet hours or do not disturb schedules
- Time zone settings
If custom timing isn't available, use your device's Focus modes or Do Not Disturb schedules to control when you receive notifications.
Troubleshooting Notification Issues
Not Receiving Any Notifications
- Check CENTR app Preferences: Profile → Preferences → ensure notifications are enabled
- Check device settings: Make sure CENTR has notification permission (see platform-specific steps above)
- Check internet connection: Push notifications require active internet
- Restart the app: Close completely and reopen
- Restart your device: Sometimes fixes notification issues
- Update the app: Make sure you have the latest CENTR version
- Check battery settings: Battery optimization can block notifications (Android especially)
Receiving Too Many Notifications
- Go to Profile → Preferences
- Review each notification type and disable ones you don't want
- Keep essential notifications (subscription, account security) enabled
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails if you only want app notifications
Notifications Delayed or Inconsistent
- Check internet connection: Weak connection can delay notifications
- Battery optimization: Disable battery optimization for CENTR (Android Settings → Apps → CENTR → Battery → Unrestricted)
- Background app refresh: Enable for CENTR (iOS Settings → General → Background App Refresh)
- Data saver mode: Disable data saver or allow CENTR as exception
Notifications Work on Phone but Not Watch
- Check Apple Watch notification settings mirror iPhone settings
- Ensure CENTR is allowed to send notifications to Watch
- Check that Do Not Disturb isn't enabled on Watch
Privacy and Notification Data
CENTR notifications contain:
- Workout reminders and program updates
- General motivational content
- Account and subscription information
Notifications are sent to your registered device and don't share your personal data with third parties. You can disable notifications anytime without affecting your account or subscription.
