Changing your CENTR password is simple and takes just a few minutes. You'll need to know your current password to change it.

Step-by-Step Password Change

Using the Password Reset Method (Easiest)

The fastest way to change your password is to use the "Forgot Password" feature:

  1. Go to centr.com/login or open the CENTR app
  2. Click or tap "Forgot Password"
  3. Enter your registered email address
  4. Click "Send Reset Link"
  5. Check your email inbox (and spam folder)
  6. Click the reset link in the email
  7. Create your new password
  8. Log in with your new password

Note: This method works even if you remember your current password. It's the simplest way to change it.

Password Requirements

Your new password must meet these requirements:

  • Minimum length: 8 characters
  • Recommended: Mix of letters, numbers, and symbols for better security
  • Must be different: Don't reuse your old password
  • Case sensitive: MyPassword is different from mypassword

After Changing Your Password

Immediate Access

  • Your new password works immediately
  • Your old password will no longer work
  • You can log in right away with the new password

Log In on All Devices

After changing your password, you may need to log in again on:

  • Your iPhone or iPad CENTR app
  • Your Android CENTR app
  • Any web browsers where you're logged into centr.com
  • Use your NEW password for all logins

Save Your New Password

We recommend:

  • Using a password manager (1Password, LastPass, Bitwarden, etc.) to store your password securely
  • Writing it down and keeping it in a secure physical location if you don't use a password manager
  • NOT using the same password for multiple websites
  • NOT sharing your password with anyone

For Social Login Users

If You Use "Sign in with Apple" or "Continue with Google"

If you always log in using social login buttons:

  • You don't need a password for CENTR
  • Your Apple ID or Google credentials are all you need
  • However, you can add a password as a backup login option

To Add a Password to Your Social Login Account

  1. Contact CENTR support at [email protected]
  2. Request to add email/password login to your account
  3. Support will set this up for you
  4. You'll then be able to use either social login OR email/password

Security Best Practices

When to Change Your Password

You should change your password if:

  • You suspect unauthorized access to your account
  • You've used the same password for a long time (6+ months)
  • You've used the same password on another site that was breached
  • You're sharing your account and want to revoke access
  • You simply want a stronger or more memorable password

Creating a Strong Password

Tips for a secure password:

  • Use a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters
  • Include numbers and symbols
  • Make it at least 12 characters (longer is better)
  • Avoid personal information (birthdays, names, addresses)
  • Don't use common words or patterns (password123, qwerty)
  • Consider using a passphrase (multiple random words: BlueDolphinSunsetCoffee47!)

What CENTR Does to Protect Your Password

  • Passwords are encrypted and never stored in plain text
  • We never ask for your password via email or chat
  • Password reset links expire after 24 hours
  • Multiple failed login attempts trigger temporary account locks
  • Support staff cannot see your password

Troubleshooting

I Don't Remember My Current Password

If you don't remember your current password:

  • Use the "Forgot Password" method described above
  • This lets you set a new password without knowing the old one
  • Reset link will be sent to your registered email

I'm Not Receiving the Password Reset Email

If you don't receive the reset email:

  1. Check your spam/junk folder (most common cause)
  2. Wait 5-10 minutes for delivery
  3. Verify you entered the correct email address
  4. If you use Apple Sign-In, use your Apple relay email (not your regular email)

If the reset link doesn't work:

  • Links expire after 24 hours - request a new one
  • Each link is single-use - if you already used it, request a new one
  • Try copying the link and pasting it into a different browser

Can't Log In After Changing Password

If you can't log in after successfully changing your password:

  1. Make sure you're using your NEW password, not your old one
  2. Check for typos (passwords are case-sensitive)
  3. Clear your browser cache or reinstall the app
  4. Try logging in on a different platform (web vs app)
  5. Request another password reset if needed

For Apple Private Relay Users

If you signed up with "Sign in with Apple" and "Hide My Email":

  • Find your Apple relay email first (Settings → [Your Name] → Password & Security → Apps Using Apple ID → CENTR)
  • Use your relay email ([email protected]) for password reset, not your regular email
  • Or simply continue using "Sign in with Apple" button (no password needed)
