Accepted Payment Methods by Platform
The payment methods available for your CENTR subscription depend on which platform you use to subscribe.
Apple App Store Payment Methods
If you subscribe through the CENTR app on iPhone or iPad, you'll use Apple's payment system:
- Credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover
- Debit cards: Cards with Visa or Mastercard logo
- Apple Pay: If set up on your device
- Apple ID balance: Store credit or gift card balance
- Carrier billing: May be available depending on your carrier
Payment methods are managed in your Apple ID account settings, not in the CENTR app.
Google Play Payment Methods
If you subscribe through the CENTR app on Android, you'll use Google Play's payment system:
- Credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover
- Debit cards: Cards with major payment network logos
- Google Pay: If set up on your device
- PayPal: May be available as Google Play payment option
- Carrier billing: May be available depending on your carrier
- Google Play gift cards or credit: Store balance
Payment methods are managed through Google Play, not the CENTR app.
Web Subscription Payment Methods (centr.com)
If you subscribe directly through the CENTR website:
- Credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover
- Debit cards: Cards that work as credit cards
Web subscriptions are processed through Stripe payment system.
Payment Method Requirements
- Valid payment method required: Even for free trials
- Card verification: Credit/debit card must be valid and have available credit
- Billing address: Must match card's billing address for verification
- International cards: Generally accepted, but some banks block international transactions
Which Payment Method Should You Use?
- Credit cards: Most common and reliable
- Apple Pay/Google Pay: Convenient if already set up
- Debit cards: Work fine but ensure sufficient funds at renewal
Payment Method Restrictions
Not accepted:
- PayPal (except through Google Play if available)
- Bank transfers or wire transfers
- Cash or money orders
- Prepaid cards (may not work for recurring subscriptions)
- Virtual credit cards (may be declined for subscriptions)
