Starting a program is simple and gives you a structured path toward your fitness goals. Here's exactly how to find and join a program.
Step-by-Step: How to Start a Program
Step 1: Navigate to the Programs Tab
Tap the Programs icon in the bottom navigation bar of the CENTR app. This is your central hub for discovering and managing workout programs.
Step 2: Browse Program Recommendations
When you open the Programs section, you'll see:
- Recommended programs: Programs matched to your fitness level, goals, and preferences
- Full program library: Scroll down to see all available programs
Step 3: Review Program Details
Tap any program that interests you to view:
- Program description and objectives
- Duration (how many weeks)
- Workout schedule and frequency
- Equipment requirements
- Fitness level recommendation
- Preview of sample workouts
- Trainer information
Take time to read through the details to ensure the program aligns with your goals, schedule, and equipment availability.
Step 4: Join the Program
Once you've found the right program:
- Tap the "Join Program" or "Start Program" button
- The program will be added to your My Plan on the Home tab
- You can start your first workout immediately or schedule it for later
What Happens After You Join?

Once you join a program, it appears in My Plan (found on the Home tab). My Plan becomes your workout schedule, showing:
- Today's program workout
- Upcoming workouts in the schedule
- Rest days built into the program
- Your progress through the program
Program Schedule
The program provides a day-by-day workout schedule. You can follow it exactly as designed, or adapt it to fit your life:
- Do workouts on your schedule, not necessarily on specific calendar days
- Take rest days when needed
- Catch up if you miss a workout
- Skip ahead if you prefer
Commitment and Flexibility
No Strict Timelines
While programs have a set number of weeks (like a 6-week program), there's no deadline for completion. The weeks are a guide, not a rigid requirement. Take as long as you need to complete the program - what matters is consistency, not speed.
Starting Fresh
When you join a program, you start at Day 1 / Week 1. Programs are designed to progress logically from beginning to end, building strength, skill, and endurance over time.
Can I Join Multiple Programs?
Yes! You can join and have multiple programs active simultaneously. This allows you to:
- Mix different training styles (strength program + yoga program)
- Cross-train across different focuses
- Try multiple approaches to find what you enjoy most
However, most members focus on one primary program at a time for better results and simpler scheduling.
