The app is running slowlyUpdated 2 months ago

Quick Fix

Close all other apps running in the background, then restart the CENTR app. This frees up memory and improves performance immediately.

Close Background Apps

For iPhone

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of your screen and pause
  2. You'll see all your open apps
  3. Swipe up on each app to close them
  4. Open only the CENTR app

For Android

  1. Tap the Recent Apps button (square icon or swipe up and hold)
  2. Swipe away all apps or tap "Close All"
  3. Open only the CENTR app

Additional Performance Solutions

Solution 2: Restart Your Device

Restarting clears memory and stops unnecessary background processes.

  1. Power off your phone or tablet completely
  2. Wait 10 seconds
  3. Power back on
  4. Open CENTR (don't open other apps first)

Solution 3: Check Available Storage

Low storage causes apps to run slowly. You need at least 500MB free space.

iPhone:

  1. Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage
  2. Check available space at the top
  3. If low, delete unused apps, photos, or videos
  4. Offload unused apps (tap app > "Offload App")

Android:

  1. Go to Settings > Storage
  2. Check available space
  3. Tap "Free up space" to clear cached files
  4. Delete unused apps, photos, or videos if needed

Solution 4: Clear App Cache (Android Only)

Clearing cache removes temporary files that can slow down the app.

  1. Go to Settings on your Android device
  2. Tap "Apps" or "Applications"
  3. Find and tap "CENTR"
  4. Tap "Storage"
  5. Tap "Clear Cache" (NOT "Clear Data")
  6. Open CENTR again - performance should improve

Note for iPhone users: iOS automatically manages cache. You can't manually clear it, but deleting and reinstalling the app achieves the same result (see Solution 6).

Solution 5: Check Internet Connection

Slow internet makes the app appear sluggish when loading content.

  • Run a speed test at fast.com
  • You need at least 5 Mbps for smooth performance
  • Switch from mobile data to WiFi if available
  • Move closer to your WiFi router
  • Restart your WiFi router if speed is slow

Solution 6: Update the App

Newer versions include performance improvements.

iPhone:

  1. Open App Store
  2. Tap your profile icon
  3. Update CENTR if available

Android:

  1. Open Google Play Store
  2. Tap your profile icon > "Manage apps & device"
  3. Update CENTR if available

Solution 7: Delete and Reinstall

Reinstalling clears all cached data and gives you a fresh start.

Important: Your workout history, progress, and subscription are safe in the cloud. Reinstalling won't delete your data.

iPhone:

  1. Press and hold CENTR app icon
  2. Tap "Remove App" and confirm
  3. Restart your iPhone
  4. Reinstall from App Store
  5. Log in with your credentials

Android:

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > CENTR
  2. Tap "Uninstall" and confirm
  3. Restart your device
  4. Reinstall from Google Play Store
  5. Log in with your credentials

Common Causes of Slow Performance

  • Too many apps open: Close all background apps
  • Low storage space: Free up at least 500MB
  • Slow internet: Need 5+ Mbps. Switch to WiFi
  • Outdated app: Update to latest version
  • Old device software: Update iOS or Android
  • Cache buildup: Clear cache (Android) or reinstall (iOS)

Optimize Your Device

These general optimizations improve overall device performance:

  • Update to latest iOS or Android version
  • Disable automatic app updates while using CENTR
  • Turn off background app refresh for unused apps
  • Restart your device weekly to clear memory
  • Keep at least 1GB of free storage space

Still Running Slow?

If the app is still slow after trying all steps, contact our support team at [email protected] with:

  • Device model (e.g., iPhone 14, Samsung Galaxy S23)

  • CENTR app version (found in Settings or About)
  • Available storage space
  • Internet speed test result from fast.com
  • Specific actions that are slow (video loading, browsing, etc.)

We'll help identify the cause and improve your app performance.
