Quick Fix
Force close the CENTR app completely and restart it. This resolves most crash issues immediately.
Force Close and Restart the App
For iPhone (iOS)
- Swipe up from the bottom of your screen (or double-click Home button on older iPhones)
- Find the CENTR app in your open apps
- Swipe the CENTR app up and off the screen to close it completely
- Wait 5 seconds
- Open the CENTR app again from your home screen
- Log back in if needed
For Android
- Open Settings on your device
- Tap "Apps" or "Applications"
- Find and tap "CENTR"
- Tap "Force Stop"
- Confirm by tapping "OK"
- Return to your home screen and open CENTR again
- Log back in if needed
If the App Still Crashes
Try these additional solutions in order. Each step builds on the previous one.
Solution 2: Update to Latest App Version
Many crashes are fixed in newer versions of the app.
iPhone:
- Open the App Store
- Tap your profile icon in the top right
- Scroll down to see pending updates
- If CENTR shows an update, tap "Update"
- Wait for the update to complete, then open the app
Android:
- Open the Google Play Store
- Tap your profile icon in the top right
- Select "Manage apps & device"
- Look for CENTR under "Updates available"
- Tap "Update" next to CENTR
- Wait for the update to complete, then open the app
Solution 3: Restart Your Device
Restarting clears your device's memory and can fix crash issues.
- Power off your phone or tablet completely
- Wait 10 seconds
- Power your device back on
- Open the CENTR app
Solution 4: Check Your Internet Connection
Connection issues can cause the app to crash during loading.
- Try switching between WiFi and mobile data
- Move closer to your WiFi router
- Test other apps to confirm your internet is working
- Restart your WiFi router if needed
Solution 5: Delete and Reinstall the App
Important: Your workout history, progress, and subscription are saved in the cloud. Reinstalling will NOT delete your data.
iPhone:
- Press and hold the CENTR app icon on your home screen
- Tap "Remove App" or the minus (-) icon
- Select "Delete App" and confirm
- Restart your iPhone
- Open the App Store and search for "CENTR"
- Tap "Download" or the cloud icon to reinstall
- Open the app and log in with your account credentials
Android:
- Open Settings
- Tap "Apps" or "Applications"
- Find and tap "CENTR"
- Tap "Uninstall" and confirm
- Restart your device
- Open the Google Play Store and search for "CENTR"
- Tap "Install"
- Open the app and log in with your account credentials
This resolves 60-70% of persistent app crashes.
Check If It's an App-Specific Issue
Try accessing your account on centr.com using a web browser:
- If centr.com works: The issue is specific to the app. Continue troubleshooting below.
- If centr.com also has issues: This may be an account or server problem. Contact support at [email protected].
Common Crash Causes
- Post-update issues: If crashes started after an app update, delete and reinstall to clear old data
- Low device storage: Free up space on your device (need at least 500MB available)
- Outdated device software: Update iOS or Android to the latest version
- Background apps: Close other apps running in the background to free up memory
