My progress isn't syncingUpdated 2 months ago

Quick Fix

Force a sync by signing out and signing back in. This refreshes your account data and usually resolves sync issues.

Force Sync by Signing Out and In

  1. Open the CENTR app
  2. Go to your profile or settings
  3. Tap "Sign Out" or "Log Out"
  4. Close the app completely
  5. Reopen the CENTR app
  6. Sign in with your email and password
  7. Wait 30-60 seconds for data to sync
  8. Check if your progress has updated

Important: Your progress is stored in the cloud. Signing out does NOT delete your workout history or data.

If Progress Still Not Syncing

Solution 2: Check Your Internet Connection

Progress needs internet to sync between your device and the cloud.

  • Make sure you're connected to WiFi or mobile data
  • Test your connection by opening other apps or websites
  • Run a speed test at fast.com (need at least 3 Mbps)
  • Try switching between WiFi and mobile data
  • Move closer to your WiFi router if signal is weak

After confirming good connection, sign out and back in to force sync.

Solution 3: Verify on centr.com

Check if your progress is in the cloud:

  1. Open a web browser on any device
  2. Go to centr.com
  3. Log in with your CENTR account
  4. Check your workout history and progress
  • If progress shows on web: This is an app sync issue. Continue to Solution 4.
  • If progress is also missing on web: The workout may not have been recorded. Contact support at [email protected].

Solution 4: Force Close and Restart the App

iPhone:

  1. Swipe up from the bottom
  2. Swipe CENTR app away to close
  3. Wait 10 seconds
  4. Open CENTR again
  5. Wait 30 seconds for sync to complete

Android:

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > CENTR
  2. Tap "Force Stop"
  3. Wait 10 seconds
  4. Open CENTR again
  5. Wait 30 seconds for sync to complete

Solution 5: Restart Your Device

  1. Power off your device completely
  2. Wait 10 seconds
  3. Power back on
  4. Connect to WiFi
  5. Open CENTR app
  6. Sign out and sign back in to force sync

Solution 6: Update the App

Sync bugs may be fixed in newer versions.

iPhone:

  1. Open App Store
  2. Tap your profile icon
  3. Update CENTR if available
  4. After updating, sign out and back in

Android:

  1. Open Google Play Store
  2. Tap your profile icon > "Manage apps & device"
  3. Update CENTR if available
  4. After updating, sign out and back in

Solution 7: Delete and Reinstall the App

Your progress is safe in the cloud. Reinstalling won't delete your workout history or data.

iPhone:

  1. Delete CENTR app
  2. Restart iPhone
  3. Reinstall from App Store
  4. Log in with your credentials
  5. Wait 1-2 minutes for progress to sync from cloud

Android:

  1. Uninstall CENTR app
  2. Restart device
  3. Reinstall from Google Play Store
  4. Log in with your credentials
  5. Wait 1-2 minutes for progress to sync from cloud

Multi-Device Sync Issues

If progress isn't syncing between multiple devices (phone, tablet, computer):

  1. Verify you're logged into the SAME account on all devices
  2. Check email address matches exactly on each device
  3. Don't mix login methods (e.g., email on one device, Google on another)
  4. Sign out and back in on ALL devices to force sync
  5. Complete a workout on one device, then check other device after 5 minutes

Common Sync Issues

  • Completed workout doesn't show: May take 1-2 minutes to sync. Wait, then refresh.
  • Progress shows on phone but not tablet: Sign out/in on both devices.
  • Old progress missing after app update: Sign out/in to pull from cloud.
  • Progress synced yesterday but not today: Check internet connection and force sync.

Ensure Workouts Are Recording

Make sure you're completing workouts properly for progress to record:

  • Complete entire workout (don't exit early)
  • Stay connected to internet during and after workout
  • Don't force close app immediately after finishing
  • Look for "Workout Complete" or checkmark confirmation
  • Wait 30 seconds after completion for sync

Check Account Consistency

Sync issues can occur if you're using different accounts or login methods:

  • Verify you're using the same email address on all devices
  • Use the same login method everywhere (don't mix email/Google/Apple logins)
  • If you have multiple accounts, you may need to merge them (contact support)

Still Not Syncing?

If your progress still isn't syncing after trying all steps, contact our support team at [email protected] with:

  • Your account email address
  • Device model(s) and operating system version(s)
  • CENTR app version (found in Settings or About)
  • Whether progress shows on centr.com
  • When you last saw progress sync correctly
  • Which specific progress isn't syncing (workout history, completed programs, stats, etc.)
  • Whether you use multiple devices and which ones
  • Screenshots showing missing progress

We'll investigate and restore your progress sync, usually within 24-48 hours.

Your Progress Is Safe

Even if progress isn't displaying correctly in the app, your workout data is safely stored in our cloud servers. Once sync is restored, your complete workout history will be accessible again.
